205 Goats Delivered to Malek Palual and War Agany Villages

Luka just finished delivering another 205 goats to the villages of Malek Palaual and War Agany in Aweil, South Sudan. Similar to last weeks delivery, these goats come at a very precarious period of the hunger gap between harvests. Fortunately our Nubian goats were specially bred to survive the harsh environment and thrive off of otherwise inedible weeds, which they process into highly nutritious milk. For many of these women and their families, these goats are the difference between life and death.

These goats were purchased in markets that are otherwise inaccessible to villages like these. We then vaccinated the goats to increase their likelihood of survival. Over the long term, these goats will be bred with existing goats in the village. As their herds grow, they will be able to use the proceeds for their children’s school. They truly are the gift that keeps on giving!
