Village Clinic Ride Day 18: Some Days are Easy and Some Days are Hard

Some days are easy and some days are hard. Day 18 was really easy. The weather was ideal for biking, and after yesterday, we weren’t looking to prove anything. Just a short 29 miles to Crescent City, CA.

The California Border isn’t anything special. It’s just an arbitrary boundary with a sign. But still, it felt great crossing that boundary. We’re in California! Shortly after crossing the border, we did what one should do in northern California: we visited some redwood forests. Before entering Crescent City, we spent close to an hour cycling around at Keller state park. We took pictures and simply appreciated the gigantic trees, some of which are over 500 years old. It was gorgeous, and it was a great start to our trip down the California coastline.
